I can safely say that gps has opened up a whole new world for me in the few short months that I have had it installed in my car. Although a relative newcomer to the world of satellite navigation it has turned me from a nervous driver to an intrepid explorer of the world.
I used to be scared of driving long distances as I have less inbuilt navigational skills than a baby flea and my map reading talents are not so great either.
This meant that I shied away from driving abroad as I was unsure of my ability to find my way and drive at the same time.
I now have a whole new world of possibilities open to me, as I can fearlessly take to the roads without worrying that I will end up in Bordeaux instead of Beirut or Barcelona instead of Berlin. I can concentrate on my driving and listen to my GPS who is just so much better at navigating than I am and does not get as irritated or nervous as my husband does. I can confidently pass a whole range of cars and bikes on my way to my far-flung destination, something that i would never have dreamt of a few months ago.
I would whole heartedly recommend anyone who has not yet experienced the joys of a GPS to get out there and invest in one straightaway, as this is the best investment that I have ever made in my car.
